Welcome to Paint Me Whole!

About Paint Me Whole

Where art meets healing, and cracks become canvases.

Paint Me Whole is a student-led art and mental health project dedicated to transforming the way we see our own brokenness. Inspired by the Japanese art of kintsugi — mending pottery with gold — we believe that healing is not about erasing our scars, but honoring them. Every crack tells a story, and every story holds the power to connect, comfort, and inspire.

Our Story

It began with a simple truth: art heals. Through brushstrokes, colors, and the courage to share, we can turn pain into something beautiful. Paint Me Whole was born from a desire to create a safe, creative space for students to express themselves — whether through painting, writing, or simply being heard.

What started as an idea became workshops, storytelling projects, and community events. Each one is built around connection, empathy, and the belief that no one should have to heal alone.

What We Do

  • Workshops that use art as a tool for self-expression and reflection.

  • Storytelling spaces where people can share their journeys without fear or judgment.

  • Fundraisers supporting mental health and disability advocacy organizations.

  • Community building that fosters creativity, conversation, and compassion.

Our Vision

We imagine a community where people wear their stories with pride, where art becomes a bridge between hearts, and where healing is celebrated, not hidden.

A Note from Our Founder

Hello! I’m Sejal, the founder of Paint Me Whole. This project is close to my heart because I’ve seen firsthand how creativity can open doors to self-understanding and connection. My hope is that when you take part — whether you paint, write, or simply listen — you feel seen, valued, and a little more whole.
